Everglades National Park

Over a year ago, before the pandemic hit, we scheduled an 8-night stay in Everglades National Park. So, we left our friends in Chiefland, FL and made the long 9 hour drive to the park on January 25th to return on the 2nd of February. We made the most of our time riding bikes, kayaking and taking lots of pictures. We even took a day trip to Key West. Here are some of the highlights of our week.

Friends on the Road

A common question or concern for people contemplating the full-time RV lifestyle is one of loneliness. After a long career working with people everyday, what would it be like to leave everyone and hit the road full-time. For us, we had the rare opportunity to work with the same group of people for many years, some for over 20 years. They were, and still are, family. Yes, for those that don’t know, we worked together for the last 20 years or so of our careers at Kodak / Kodak Alaris.

National Parks of the Rockies

After leaving Karen’s house in Monument, CO, we headed north with hopes of keeping our original summer plans of seeing some national parks. After looking at potential paths to Grand Teton National Park, we determined it would be a shame to skip Rocky Mountain National Park given how close we were. With that in mind, our first stop would be Estes Park, CO.
